Jay,
As you know, we had a very technical and complicated renovation project. The project involved, basically, making a side entrance to our home, the main entrance to our home. There were two major aspects of the job.
First, replacing a very old traditional deck, with a complete 'grand deck' made of exotic wood for the deck steps and railing, and then enhancing the deck railing with copper spindles. The deck required every single board to be angle cut, sealed with special wax and then hand screwed into place, as the wood was so hard, it would snap a six penny nail. The work you performed was nothing short of masterful.
Second, once the wood was installed, custom slate steps with mason stone work had to be done in such a way that it complimented the existing landscaped walls.
Once the deck was done, an even more technical job had to be accomplished. A window and door had to be reserved. That is, we would in effect have the entrance to the home, at the location of the previous window. While this may not sound too difficult, our home was custom built and the window had custom copper flashing as an accent below the window. It would be necessary to skillfully remove the window, and the flashing then technically replace all of the components. The result was incredible.
When we were searching for a skilled craftsman to perform the work on our home, every contractor that we contacted, both residential and commercial, reffered us to you. They would not attempt the work, but said that you would do a masterful job.
However, even more importantly that 'what you did' was 'how you did it.' Again, first, you quoted us a price and explained exactly how the price was calculated. Second, you were always there when you said you would be there and YOU followed up with us. And then finally, you were so neat and clean while you were doing work, that literally I did not even know you let!
